Fernie, Canada under the Christmas lights.

Best Ski Resorts Other Than Austrian Alps

Now, let’s look at the Europe centre. Just at the heart of the continent there are the amazing Tatra Mountains, Poland. The biggest advantage of the place is that it offers really long trails! The tops of the Tatra Mountains are most charming in winter. This is because of the local climate that is quite mild. And during winter, all the surrounding towns and villages are totally charming! If you’re going to slide down in Tatra Mountains you definitely have to visit Zakopane which is one of the most lovly winter tourist destination we have never been to.

All of you who’s crazy about winter sports certainly have an idea about the best ski resorts in the world. For off-the-beaten paths seekers, Gridwood, Alaska may be a perfect place.  The city used to be a  gold-mining town. The best of the place is that you can shuss there almost all year long! However, the best time to visit this place is  September and October since the conditions are good enough but there are not too many people over there. But it is good to know in Gridwood you should expect very sudden snowstorms.

Another worth recommending ski destination is Fernie in Canada or to be more precise in British Columbia. This one is not for beginners, definitely. We recommend only skiers with enough experience try skiing down this slope. This is one of the most steep and deep of our favourite ones. However, you may suspect really spectacular terrain and unquestionably the best trails all over Canada. The town that today is a real daisy in terms of winter sports used to be a mining town years before. Nobody had though that in the future it’s going to be such an amazing winter resort interesting millions of people from all over the world every year.
